As the conceptor for these images and narrative lead on the upcoming Tarkir set I can confirm this is former Khan Alesha (and not her grandmother). She’s depicted here as part of Kolaghan’s brood, after she relinquished her title and ended the Mardu clan name. #WOTCstaff
It was a perfect opportunity show her as an elder, like we’d shown before on the Pride Secret Lair. Unlike many of the other khans she lived on after the khanfall, prioritizing the survival of her people over a name. In her own way ensuring that the Mardu would continue on.
I love how this set turned out, I had the honor of working with an incredible team. I can’t wait for you to see more of Tarkir!
As we looked into breathing new life into Tarkir, we knew we wanted to continue fleshing out the three-color clans. We worked with cultural consultants for each clan, ensuring fans have more depth to dive into. #MTGTarkir
Been a minute since I shared cosplay here. But I’m really proud of how this is coming along. AST lvl 100 gear from #FFXIV

A soul crushing decade of my life has been spent struggling to pay off life saving medical treatment to the point I often hate myself for being alive
I am currently the only source of income for my household. I don’t make nearly enough to cover rent - let alone medical bills.
Consultants (culutral, disability and much more) are a vital part of making games, including our current and upcoming Magic sets.

I’m not going to address whatever the current aggrieved gamer conspiracy theory is right now but these people help your favorite games happen, and they let us take risks that would otherwise paralyze the people in charge.

In the wake of the Sweet Baby Inc stuff I want to say that it would have been impossible to make many of the awesome sets we’ve made, and impossible to tell many of the killer stories Magic has told these last few years, without the help of cultural consultants
I had so much fun leading this set, the Haystack is probably one of my favorite cards among well… many favorites :D
