This is really good!!! I often find myself solving problems by gradient descent (moving here is closer to my end goal), and then I'll force myself to take a step back and ask what my actual intermediate goals are, and then a solution will come to me. Satisfying.
Order of the Sinking Star has been out for a week now, so I decided to run some stats on Steam where it's easy.
The Witness was our previous game that was very successful when launched 10 years ago. Order has sold 45% more units on Steam in its first week than Witness did.
Order is 25% cheaper (Witness was $40, Order is $30 with some bundle discounts, and there's been some inflation), so you would expect more units at the lower price. But regardless, it looks at least as financially successful as the Witness was, maybe a little more eventually, depending on how the tail goes.

I accidentally trimmed my beard too much and had to shave the whole thing. Son was very upset. "Dad, you don't look very good without a beard."

I love AI! It used to take my coworkers days to generate impressive looking bullshit, but now it takes seconds, and the bullshit looks much more impressive.

I was trained to use em-dashes pre-AI. I mostly used them as replacements for parentheticals — my least favorite piece of punctuation. I always surrounded them with spaces.
AIs use em-dashes as an introduction to a restatement—a drumroll before a reveal. And there's no spaces.
I asked an associate to do something for me on Teams. To my shock, she responded with the message "Old"
I adjusted my glasses and saw that she had actually written "Ofc!"
