There are no rules in love and war and pandemics..
Well except, maybe:
- stay safe, wear a mask
- black lives matter
- take care of yourself and if you can someone else
- try to make the world a little bit better and where possible add just the right amount of sparkles
I do not know the pattern name, but the rule of you can't both call methods on something and pass it as an argument is just great :)
And there are patterns such as unifying complex conditions, or noticing whitespace as a fracture line and refactor target, are universally useful.
We still get some help from the type system, even though we can't just intelliJ ourselves the entire way and some of the inheritance rules may be a bit akward.

Thanks for mentioning me. While it is hard to rigidly apply the rules strictly when programming in Go for numerous reasons. I have still found that reading Christians book, and being fortunate enough to have seen me teach, has made me write better code.

i have no clue when the last new card I got was not either spotlight, purchased or season pass
At least @udemy is upfront about video first :)
I wonder if Kubernetes adoption would have been less widespread if it was easier to implement 🤔

@planetmoney this is a surprisingly subversive take on shrinkflation. Rather than reduce the amount, the recipe is changed so the same amount lasts shorter.
Very sublte way to increase price without people noticing 🤔
it might very well be the case. I am simply unaware because it is not in the same way forced down my throat 😅

like I can rattle off at least three platforms where I could sell a video course and that have large user bases, but I would not know where to start selling a text based course

more platforms for video courses over text based courses may also be a factor

You found the right answer but "calibrated" would be hilarious

Truth. Hopefully the median developer uses libraries more than they write them 😅

I think I would also add. If you are learning #goland, don't worry too much about generics. It is unlikely they will provide much value in your day to day development :)

I like this angle on "play to your outs", though how the snap mechanic impacts this is kom obvious to me.

I suppose you should save caches until the cards you are interested in are spotlight?

The first thing you do is run the tests. Then you change a single like of code and run the tests again. Then you remove your changes and start comsidering the change you want to contribute 😅
