I need your help. Just over two months ago, I did a stream demonstrating that Twitch disproportionately penalised VTubers for supposedly violating their Community Guidelines. In light of FallenShadow's frankly baffling 30-day ban - which was only overturned as a result of public scrutiny - and Zentreya's recent warning, I've decided that it's worth doing a follow-up stream revisiting the topic. However, part of making sense out of Twitch's strange decisions requires obtaining precedents and data with which we can evaluate their current approach towards moderation. This is where I'm going to need your assistance. If you or another Twitch creator you know (VTuber or not) has recently (last 6 months) received a ban or warning from Twitch for suicidal or self-harm behaviour and/or a sexual content warning regarding an outfit/design that was previously fine, please reach out to me via DMs. The only things these platforms seem to respond to is public scrutiny, and so I ask that you lend me a hand with trying to compile these isolated incidents into a more cohesive record that can be publicised to warn other creators (if not contribute towards pressuring the platform for more consistent standards in the future).
