The Packers won. The Bears won. J.J. McCarthy threw for 243 yards in 11 minutes. Yeah, the Vikings had a bye week but a lot happened. startribune.com/minnesota-vi…

I wrote about the 2016 Vikings, who were 5-0 at the bye week before losing eight of their next 10 games. What are the similarities (and more importantly the differences) between that team and the 2026 version of the Vikings? startribune.com/minnesota-vi…

Let's go

Wolves at Knicks tonight. Yeah, it's just the preseason but this one could have some juice. Only Target Center game is Wednesday, then presumably they rest their starters Friday. Regular season starts next week. What do you want to see from the Wolves tonight?

I've had a night to sleep on it, and I'm still not sure what KOC was thinking with that fourth-quarter trick play that somehow didn't cost the Vikings on Sunday. @Patrick_Reusse and I talked about it at the start of Daily Delivery. Full show: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… Clip:

How many of Reichard's field goals this would be good if the uprights were only 6 feet apart? Like, it's not just the big leg. It's right down the middle

A trick play that involves two guys throwing backwards passes over half the width of the field is not my idea of a good time when you're protecting a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter

That's a big time drive and a big time run

Best part about today's Daily Delivery pod with new Star Tribune Wolves writer @NBASarah was exploring our shared history with the Jimmy Butler trade!

Are the Wolves relying too heavily on Rudy Gobert this season, and will they pay the price when he's not on the court? I wrote about it here and talked with new Strib Wolves writer @NBASarah on Daily Delivery: startribune.com/minnesota-ti…

What will the Twins do this offseason with Joe Ryan, Royce Lewis and others? @nightengalejr and I tried to answer those questions: youtube.com/watch?v=AL2T-kMB…

Did not have the Vikings signing OBJ to the practice squad on today's bingo card. It's always something!

Wrote about the Wild, who are the latest Minnesota team to have a TV standoff with Comcast. Here's why they don't have a carriage agreement: startribune.com/minnesota-wi…

I wrote and talked today about optimism stemming from the Wolves' first preseason game and how this feels like the first time the Wolves have built a team geared toward Ant's strengths. startribune.com/minnesota-ti…

I'll have an update/thoughts early tomorrow morning with perspective on WHY negotiations between the NHL/Wild and Comcast are stalled. For now, I'd be interested to hear Wild fan frustrations and/or how you have worked around no Wild on Comcast or DirecTV so far this season.

Kyler Murray is struggling in some areas, but he's clearly better in the shotgun or pistol instead of under center. What is the marriage between what Kyler does well and what Kevin O'Connell wants his QBs to do? @Andrew_Krammer and I break it down here: youtube.com/watch?v=BCysfh7a…
