Well, this has been a long time coming. So, here it is. THREAD:

Years ago, I had the pleasure of working w/ a TV show as a fan-turned-social media teammate. It's all well-documented. Link in profile for more on that.
The Michael Schumacher logo looks like it was drawn by Osvaldo Cavandoli ("La Linea").
Is it a mouse, is it a bobsled...? trib.al/pg3xdN5

That white haze up in the sky in #Toronto and central/eastern Ontario? That's smoke from wildfires in the Prairies, mainly from Alberta (circled in red). It will have an impact on today's high temperature keeping it a tad cooler.

This woman was forced to carry to term a pregnancy that nearly killed her, then was prosecuted for her behaviors during pregnancy — not b/c she was doing anything illegal, but b/c her behaviors weren’t healthy for the pregnancy they forced her to carry.

#GGSimon shares the following message with Canadians marking #RedDressDay.

ALT A Red dress hanging on a clothesline. Text to the left of the dress reads, “’Everyone deserves to be safe in their communities. As we mark the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, I am adding my voice to the chorus. Protect our women and girls, protect Indigenous and 2SLGBTQI+ peoples. Let us all create a world where we are free to be who we are, without the threat of violence.’ – Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada.”

And everywhere we have gone, people went out of their way for us, completely unasked and not even deserved, really.
Is not-being-awful the new low standard?
Let’s all agree that sucks and is unfair and cruel.
Let people do their jobs. Be kind.

And there it is.
Go get 'em, scribes!

Look, we're now connected globally & in real-time, so we argue a lot about social issues, technology, politics, etc. I think there should be some grace given to most sides of a debate.
...but I wanna know who's out here arguing *against* pockets for women's clothing?
Monsters.
Look, I'm the stick-in-the-mud casting massive side-eye at everything #AI-related but (a) this #Terminator 2: The Musical stuff is undeniably rad and (b) this guy's comment wins.
In my day, we'd be breaking windows on Yonge Street by now.
(#Leafs vs Blues, div finals, '93.)
Kidding! I didn't break any windows but we did push some people who weren't letting an ambulance through. They got mad but apologized when we explained.
Hooligan responsibly, y'all!
Not the sort of war reporting I'm used to but certainly a fascinating one!
Hope the little fella pulls through.

For every purchase of the new flavor — Cold Brew Coffee — they’re donating proceeds to provide water purification systems to Indigenous families in need.
You buy the ice cream – they do the rest.

I'm gonna delete this game soon. So, here are some class photos before the final burn.

What an absolute crime of complex ugliness against simple beauty.
My sympathies to the caretakers of the now-violated space.
I've been here before with V FOR VENDETTA, which writer and Perpetually Angry Hagrid cosplayer Alan Moore despised, and I'm okay with Ellroy hating Hanson's L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.
Of course I wish each author got the adaptation they envisioned but I unabashedly love both films.
James Ellroy doesn't mince words criticizing Curtis Hanson's 1997 adaptation of his novel "L.A. Confidential": "It’s turkey of the highest form. I think Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger are impotent. The director died, so now I can disparage the movie.” bit.ly/3n64Vnw
Meanwhile in #Canada, um, I mean the Boston Marathon.
(Near as I can tell, Kevin Curnock is maybe actually from out East, so let's not get all centre-of-the-universe, Trawna.)
(Also Tayla Savage is no grouch herself. $10K for @c2cboston #CradlesToCrayons! She has a big heart.)
When Toronto-based Kevin Curnock laced up for the Boston Marathon, he was ready. toronto.ctvnews.ca/this-is-y…
