I've been wondering why the administration doesn't get better trolls to convince the public that it's doing well. You know who these morons are. Most are on Facebook. Some do cross-platform posting here on X but offer nothing of substance. It's mostly and hominem and they're not even funny. Magno minces no words in describing the state of the nation. The upper middle income upgrade is being milked for all which can be had from it but I doubt if the average Pinoy who understands what it actually means believes that his life has improved. We dominate ASEAN in only one aspect and that is political warfare. Post-Edsa it was only the Duterte administration which didn't go after the administration it succeeded. Even if the Dilawans were vociferous critics of Duterte he let them be and told congress not to impeach Robredo for her being the marionette she was. Now the administration and the Yellowidiots are ganging up on the Duterte's never mind that the economy is going down the toilet. The population has stopped growing more than 2% per annum because the younger generations can't afford it anymore. The cost of living is simply too high and without a labor force which can be exploited it will not happen that we can match Vietnam's growth pace. The wage hike in NCR of P85.00 will do more harm than good. But it's a populist move in the hope of pushing the presidential approval and trust ratings above water. This isn't going to happen. Not with an impeachment trial and preparation for an election in 2027. Until such time we focus on the economy and not on politics the country doesn't have much of a future to look forward to. We're only ahead of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar now. It won't be long before Cambodia and Laos becomes our equal or even passes us by.
