Now I understand why older people are calmer…, after you’ve died enough times inside, you learn to breathe, let go, and simply be.

Aaron Maté: “I don't think Israel should exist. I think they're Nazis, and I don't give Nazis an exception just because they're Jewish because they call themselves a Jewish state. Israel needs to be isolated because all it does is cause problems for everybody, including genocide”

Nothing pulls back the curtain so completely as the spectacle of an indicted war criminal perpetrating an ongoing genocide being received as a VIP inside the UN, while those protesting the genocide outside are arrested en masse.

"Hebron Bride" (2026) by Palestinian (Gaza) Artist Maher Naji
"Somewhere Yesterday"
She is dressed like a beginning,
silver gathered at her brow,
red embroidery carrying Hebron
across her body
like inheritance.
Everything is ready.
The room.
The dress.
The family.
The future waiting beyond the door.
Everything,
except her heart.
Perhaps somewhere beyond these walls
there is another name
she has taught herself not to say aloud.
Perhaps once,
they believed there would be time.
Time for families to soften.
Time for circumstance to bend.
Time for love to become enough.
But love is not always given
the life it deserves.
Sometimes it survives
without permission,
hidden beneath silk,
beneath silver,
beneath ceremony,
in the one place
no one can take from you.
Tomorrow
she may cross the doorway.
She may wear another name,
learn another home,
wake beside another life.
And perhaps she will smile.
Perhaps she will become
everything expected of her.
But tonight,
before the voices call her,
before the door opens,
before yesterday is asked
to become memory,
she sits very still,
holding one last moment
with the life
she cannot keep.
And though the silver belongs to her,
the dress belongs to Hebron,
and tomorrow belongs to someone else,
her heart
is still somewhere
yesterday.

I was debating with someone on Israel’s war on Palestine, He says He supports Israel because he’s a Christian and it’s in the Bible. I just knew I was talking to a fool.

The people who say politics has nothing to do with ordinary life are often describing the privilege of not having to notice where power touches theirs.

I genuinely need people to understand what they are being asked to normalize here.
Mamdani campaigned on arresting Netanyahu.
Today Netanyahu came to NYC, received massive police protection, and anti-genocide protesters were arrested by the NYPD.
