We’ve laughed our asses off along the way, and we can’t wait for holders to discover them and appreciate the care and effort that went into every detail.
Most music NFTs died because they were jpegs with a song attached. Token Tunes is flipping that.
They’re building a distribution layer, not a collection. Phase 1 is a one-time Studio Pass (5,555 supply, Ethereum). After reveal it becomes a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond plaque, and that tier is the key into everything after. Phase 2 is ongoing limited drops of real, original songs from mainstream artists that never hit Spotify or Apple Music. Each release is its own collection.
The founder angle is the part that actually matters. Brian Garrett spent 20 years in the traditional music business, built Future Star, and has RIAA gold and platinum plaques with artists like Lil Wayne, Tyga, Usher, Chris Brown, and Migos (25M+ records). He’s been in crypto since 2017 and NFTs since 2021. That’s rare in this space: someone who already knows how labels, masters, and fan demand work, not someone learning the industry on-chain.
They’re also not rushing the mint. The public line has been build the community and brand first, Studio Pass later, music releases after that. OpenSea integration for marketplace/launchpad, holder-only tracks, limited supply so the NFTs stay scarce.
I’m bullish because the product is ownership of exclusive music, not access. Streaming gives you a playlist. This gives you something you can actually hold, trade, and use for later drops. If they land real artists and keep supply tight, the Studio Pass is the entry ticket to that whole catalog.
