We have been working for 4 years with a group of volunteers, at first, to try and save the library from closure and then to try and take on the former library building. Our aim is to set up a community library that can also act as a community hub to bring Rainhill Together again

Everything still progressing nicely with our stakeholders.
Exciting times ahead for our original View Road library to reopen in due course after 4 years of work behind the scenes.

That's the quietest collective "AGREED" I've ever heard at a council meeting!
But then again closing libraries where our children's aspiration & inspiration is born and vulnerable people are supported by community, is nothing for the self proclaimed FAKE socialists to shout about

So nearly our Rainhill Library under @StHLabour controlled @sthelenscouncil
Labour controlled Knowsley succeeded in their plans and the mock up Christmas card from 2015 reminds us of another statutory resource lost by Labour for future generations of children

Who is this person and why have they not supported our campaign and our fight to save our historic Rainhill Trials exhibition attached to our library.
He understands how important our railways are and that we should value our heritage. Thank you

Leave it to Labour to invest in our kids?
Leave it to Labour to close our library more like.
