Nobody who watched him in LA is surprised by this. lol Tries too hard to sit back and protect leads. It’s the main reason they lost to the oilers in the playoffs in such dramatic fashion 2 years ago. Hiller coaches like he’s trying not to lose. Thats the coach he is and WAS when they hired him.

I’ve defended a lot of Hillers decisions. But I flat out completely disagree with benching McKenna The game was going perfectly well and you decide to staple him and play shut down. That’s not what this team is. That’s not how this player will develop. It’s jus not necessary

Jim Hiller says it was his decision not to play McKenna. Says he didn’t play for a while in the second period and looked to get him out there in the third but at that point he had sat so long so he didn’t want to put him out there even though he felt he should have. “That’s on me” Says he hasn’t talked to McKenna about it yet.

Some people are definitely taking things too far, but let’s not repeat last year’s mistake of acting like you can’t criticize a goalie when he’s struggling. I’m confident Dobes will snap out of it, but we can’t pretend he hasn’t been rough lately.

These refs were absolutely awful with their icings and calls tonight, and that last goal just proved it.

Why do you not call offsetting minors there? Absolute joke.

That is a fucking joke of a call by the refs to give the Habs two penalties in that scrum. What a joke.

Suppose having the puck is a great disguise, but there’s no way Wilson didn’t know what he was doing there.

Caufield is telling the ref "you remember that" because he knows they won't call this both ways. It is a pick, but we all know they'll let it go for the trailing team.

Don’t let Igor Shesterkin’s injury distract you from the fact he has more goals than Brady Tkachuk this season

Dylan Larkin on fans chanting his name: “It was interesting. I never would’ve imagined that in this building in my career. But they’re passionate fans. In my opinion, it’s the best atmosphere in hockey, and they’re knowledgeable, and they love their team, and that’s how I read into it. And after a few seconds, it was just back to focusing on the game.”
