“Wow, you hit your head on the airlock pretty hard back there. Lusotropicalism? Genemaxxer Oligarchy with Chinese characteristics? Haha, very funny. This is the Neo Art Deco Anglofuturism Timeline. Come on, we need to get this O’Neil Cylinder finished on schedule”
By the 22nd century the world’s two major competing ideological power blocs will be ‘Lusotropicalism’ vs ‘Gattaca but Wasian’. The conflict between these two ideologies will form the basis of that century’s Cold War

"A group of white guys" ought to go back to corporate raiding emerging countries
A group of white guys have subtly inserted themselves into conservative institutions and church organizations. They all embrace racial grievances. To varying degrees, they embrace white nationalism, antisemitism, and even Nazi sympathies. They are getting added to conservative institutional boards, attempting to purge churches, and are desperate to indoctrinate young conservatives into fascist ideology. They even surround the Vice President of the United States. Some of them believe the United States is at a tipping point, and they want to push it over the edge and rebuild it in their image. You might think it does not affect you, but, in time, you will see their efforts in your church pews, in your kids’ brains, and in your politicians’ mouths. It begins with shampoo. ewerickson.substack.com/p/th…

Technological progress has slowed because we've picked the low-hanging fruit. Past dynasties saw big progress in canal-building, irrigation, gunpowder, and printing. Of course development has been slower this dynasty. It's almost 1400 and all the easy ideas have been discovered.

I like BAP's conclusion here. What's so terrible about living in the West today is the complete lack of opportunity. The American economy is basically just one big casino where working hard or being smart doesn't improve your odds.

Bad news for western Economies but disastrous for emerging markets such as Pakistan or Indonesia. Curious to see how China will juggle that and continue to make headways in EM to sell their goods.
CHINA IS SHIFTING FROM DRAINING OIL STOCKPILES TO REBUILDING INVENTORIES, WITH CRUDE IMPORTS EXPECTED TO RECOVER AND TIGHTEN THE GLOBAL OIL MARKET.

Frankly, I'm not even sure I believe in borders. They're just an impediment to free trade, the free efficient movement of capital and labor. Except for China, which is using evil communism to pose national security threats to our great country with quality affordable products.

I don’t understand the obstinance. Why is “young people should have a better standard of living” controversial? Is not the entire objective of society to make production more efficient to improve standard of living? shouldn’t these rewards predominantly flow to the young?

It's simple. All your money and labor is going to fat people, old people, fat old people, women, fat women, old women, fat old women, brown people, fat brown old people, and fat old brown women. It's that simple.

Glad to write for J’Accuse again. I’ve been busy these past few months. Perhaps you’ll find this most useful as an encapsulation of the elusive Harem Financer. An analysis of deal-making.
