2004 - Shelbourne avoided defeat in a European game against a team from one of the Top 10 European competitions for the first time since 2004, when they drew against Lille in the first round of the UEFA Cup.
Effort.
There’s something deeply embarrassing about an Irish sports writer being this sneering and contemptuous towards people who support Irish football.

“Save Tolka Park, save it for what?”Richard Shakespeare, 17 Feb 2023
Tolka repeatedly treated as expendable, is about to host Shelbourne v Ajax in the UEFA Conf League
Meanwhile, the stadium that got all the political attention is double the budget, half the size & years away

This says more about you than it does about them.
Sneering at who is “qualified” to care about the relentless slaughter of innocent people.
You don’t sound clever, Tommy. You sound smug and full of your own importance.

Would such a “plague upon their houses” be inflicted on rugby and GAA fans who use pyro?

The legitimate issues in the Dundalk v Drogs is completely overshadowed by the hysterical coverage.
Demonising of football fans from media, mouths & politicians is grim yet expected.
Fill the air with performative outrage & distract from the actual problems gov should address.
A real Red who played a huge role in putting the club back to where it belongs 🔴⚪️
Shelbourne FC can confirm Conor Kearns has joined Dundalk FC on loan for the upcoming season.
All at Shels extend our well wishes to Conor and thank him for his contribution to the Reds.

5 years ago we lost 4–1 to Athlone in FAI Cup. They lost 11–0 to Dundalk next rd
Conceded more against Athlone than we did against Crystal Palace in group stages of European football
Wasn’t our night but I walked out of Tallaght feeling 10 feet tall, proud of how far we’ve come
