People from my lab have published a super cool paper where mosquitoes got to choose between the scents of many humans at once - then they analyzed the scents to see which odorants correlated with mosquito attraction!
Have you ever wondered how mosquitoes find you over long distances and why they bite you more than other people? Check out our recent work published in @CurrentBiology led by @dags263 & @stephrankin2 in collaboration with the Macha Research Trust, Zambia. cell.com/current-biology/ful…

Two years ago, I asked hundreds of neuroscientists (including many of you!) at various levels about their skills and career trajectories. Now, I can finally share some of those insights in my first senior author preprint, with Saloni Shah! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

REMEMBER that conviction only happened because George Floyd’s family, the PEOPLE, marched, shouted, and risked everything. They tried to say that he died from “natural causes.” Remember that? It shouldn’t take all this to get the bare minimum of justice. And #WeAreDoneDying.

UCSD is increasing their rent costs 25-73% (!) for grad housing this summer, changing it from an affordable option to a rate on par with the rest of the expensive neighborhood it is situated in. this is going to deter so many prospective students from enrolling! this is horrible.
