Was that part hard for you, too?,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X. “Asking for 340 million people.” Patients with possible cognitive problems including dementia are often asked to draw clocks to test their brain health. AOC’s jab highlights the absurdity of Trump’s boasting. He’s acting as if acing a cognitive test proves his intelligence, when in reality all it does is test his mind’s deterioration. “We have a great group of people, which they don’t,” said Trump. “They have Jasmine Crockett, a low-IQ person. They have— AOC is low IQ.” As usual, his targeting of Crockett and AOC is no accident. It allows him to blend his deeply rooted misogyny with his profound antipathy towards people of color. “You give her an IQ test. Have her pass the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed,” Trump rambled on. “I took— Those are really hard. They’re really aptitude tests, I guess in a certain way. But, they’re cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump. Let Jasmine go against Trump. I don’t think Jasmine— The first couple of questions are easy, a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe, you know. When you get up to about five or six, and then when you get up to ten and twenty and twenty five, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.” The fact that Trump thinks that some of the questions in the cognitive test were difficult really gives the game away.
