A new-generation frame—this represents one of the most significant changes to Zhou Liang’s masks over the past decade. It is also the world’s first modular mask.

Third-Generation Frame Mask – Zhou Liang’s Mask (Ziga)
1. Five major upgrades: manufacturing process, connection method, frame, sealing ring, and performance.
2. New manufacturing process increases breathable surface area by 2% and reduces airflow resistance by 2%.
3. KN100 model utilizes new materials, reducing resistance by 30%.
4. ZERO model adopts a new structural design; resistance is 20 Pa (KN95/XL) and 30 Pa (KN100/XL).
5. New connection method (S, M, L, XL) allows for easy switching between ear-loop and head-loop wearing styles.
6. New sealing ring material paired with the new frame improves initial fit and overall wearing comfort.
7. New frame features an updated profile, pressure-relief channels, and modular mounting holes (S, M, L, XL).
8. Upgraded "ONE" material enhances the overall structural strength of the ONE model.
9. New frame includes size and orientation indicators and offers an improved field of view.
10. Five modular insert options designed to meet personalized wearing needs.
11. Resolves the issue where the elastic strap might snap—rendering the mask unusable—when pulled backward (an issue found in Zimi masks).
12. Allows users to freely choose their preferred elastic straps.
Product Details:
1. XXS and XS sizes retain the previous welded elastic strap method.
2. XXS and XS sizes do not feature the modular frame design but retain the pressure-relief channels and the new profile design.
3. XXS and XS sizes come without valves; users can manually cut a hole to install a valve if desired.
4. Foam strips are no longer included as a free gift but are available for separate purchase.
5. Black filter elements remain available.
6. Purchasing filter elements requires having the elastic strap and frame ready.
7. Elastic straps come in two lengths (30cm and 50cm) and four material specifications: 7mm seersucker, 7mm hollow, 8mm hollow, and 7mm flat. Initial color options are white, black, and yellow. 8. Filter element (S, M, L, XL): Compatible with both headloop and earloop styles; switchable as desired.

Classical Designs is expected to be updated to the ZIGA version in late November or December.
Black Steed Edition is a design reserved exclusively for the Ziga release.
Rendered in traditional Chinese ink‑wash art with only black and white tones, it features eight distinct black horses scattered randomly across each mask.
The Eight Steeds originates from ancient Chinese myths dating back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. These legendary divine horses possessed extraordinary powers: they could soar through the air, chase the sun, and travel ten thousand miles overnight. They symbolize extraordinary talent that breaks boundaries, as well as fearless ambition to explore the unknown.
This spirit resonates deeply with Zhouliang (Ziga), who keeps refining and pushing the boundaries of mask technology time and again. This special edition is our tribute to Zhouliang.
The masks will go through trial production on Ziga’s new production line. If all tests go smoothly, they are expected to launch in November.

We conducted tensile strength tests today on the Ziga mask, focusing on one of its key upgrades: the elastic strap attachment mechanism.
1. Users can choose from and install various types of Ziga elastic straps;
2. Initial options include elastic straps in lengths of 30cm or 50cm;
3. The new attachment design allows for seamless switching between ear-loop and head-strap configurations;
4. The new design resolves the issue found with ZIMI straps, where reverse tension exceeding 10N would cause the strap to snap and the mask to break; with the Ziga design, the strap simply detaches, allowing the mask to be reassembled and reused;
5. The forward tensile strength of the new attachment exceeds 70N (well above the 10N requirement set by Chinese standards).

The third-generation "Ziga" mask by Zhou Liang features a modular design that conceals the strap ends, forming a 3mm-thick ear attachment point. Available in four sizes (S, M, L, XL), it allows for seamless switching between ear-loop and head-strap configurations. It launches with a choice of three colors and three material finishes—offering a total of seven strap options for customization—allowing users to mix and match the frame, filter, and strap to create their own personalized mask.
RACKMASK will also undergo a simultaneous upgrade.
The latest "Ziga" mask from Zhou Liang features an upgraded sealing ring and a new-generation support frame. It retains the three-layer composite, four-way stretch material—which is airtight yet thinner, lighter, and offers a closer fit—while the new Series 3 support frame significantly enhances wearing comfort. Laboratory data indicates that the new sealing ring offers a 40% increase in vertical elasticity and a 120% increase in horizontal elasticity. Test reports confirm the sealing ring is free of fluorescent agents and airtight, meeting the Class A safety requirements (for infant and toddler products) of the GB18401-2010 standard (*National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products*).

Do I think I’m convincing others with my masked selfies to start masking again?
No. I’m not delusional.
Do I think that representation still matters & hopefully normalises masking? Yes.
Do I hope it is helping others to feel seen & more confident about their own masking? Yes!

Apologies, the old version of Starley Blue was taken down due to an error; it is now back online. The current stock will be sold out before the switch to the Ziga version takes place.

Personally, I feel bad for those who have given up precautions and accepted more illness in their lives. I couldn't be happier out here living my life, completely illness free for years. Best life hack ever.

Yes, the new filter is still compatible with both the new (ZIGA) and old (ZIMI) frame.

Of course, the models that were previously temporarily discontinued will be relaunched in a new form.
RACKMASK will also incorporate the optimizations mentioned below. We have included a sample image to give you a clearer idea of the new ear-loop design; moving forward, you can switch between ear-loop and head-loop styles at any time to suit your needs.
Next month, Zhou Liang’s third-generation "Ziga" frame mask will officially launch. It features a brand-new ear-loop attachment method, a new sealing gasket, the new "Series 3" frame, and an innovative edge-welding process. The Series 3 frame supports the installation of various modular accessories, allowing for adjustments to fit different face shapes.
