There are many parts to this situation that are deeply troubling. Lives lost with few details provided, such as the exact location of victims in the crowd. It's alarming that the Secret Service allowed a former POTUS to stand up and fist pump, fully exposed, amid an alleged assassination attempt, and to yell "fight, fight, fight." The shooter being a registered Republican and an active assault rifle collector adds another layer of concern. No blood on the palm of the hand at any time is particularly disturbing. As someone who has treated many wounds, I know we all instinctively check a wound we cannot see. This aspect is very disconcerting to me. Here's the piece I can't get past. As a 50+ year old physician I find it very troubling that there's no statement from the hospital or doctor who treated Trump for his "injury", now 24 hours out. Why the silence? In my experience, there's always a briefing. Where was the press? Traditionally in this scenario they would want an update in real time on where he was taken and his status.
