Sure. The 2nd was written after the US overthrew a government. The revolution was done so and required weapons equal to that of the governments. The 2nd was written to give people the power and right to overthrow the government again. Our Founding Fathers weren't concerned about a certain type of firearm...they were concerned about a certain type of Government. Which stands to reason, if the government has it the people can legally own it.
If you think the Founders intended for the gooberment to police who can own arms you’re a moron, full stop. Having the entity the Amendment was designed to protect us FROM, policing who can own arms not only violates the Amendment — SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED — but completely neuters its intent and purpose, lmao. It’s as stupid as letting the inmates run the prison.
BTW, any moron who brings up the preamble fluff about a well regulated militia is ignorant of late 18th century vernacular, early colonial and American history — particularly the idea of full time standing armies — and the intent and purpose of the 2nd Amendment. RE: The Prosecution of Ilhan Omar
There are two competing storylines regarding the prosecution of Ilhan Omar. One such storyline is being peddled by the Democrat/Media Complex. The other storyline is one that same media will never report. I’ll let you decide which storyline is which.
Storyline #1: An inspiring immigrant woman escaped from poverty, genocide and Communist rule in the poorest nation on Earth, made her own way in the United States and rose to national prominence as a Congresswoman. However, because she is a vocal supporter for social justice, an evil Republican President/fascist dictator has targeted her for abusive prosecution on trumped-up, nonexistent charges. Now she stands for oppressed Americans everywhere as she fights the power.
Storyline #2: The wealthy, privileged daughter of a genocidal, Communist Somali army colonel who had been trained in the Soviet Union fled to America with her father so the two could escape torture, imprisonment and execution after the father’s genocidal, Communist regime leader was overthrown. Upon arrival in America, the father and the daughter both committed immigration fraud and illegally obtained U.S. citizenship (or never obtained U.S. citizenship, the story is unclear). The daughter then rose to prominence with the backing of George Soros and his massive network of NGOs and PACs, was elected to Congress, was controlled by Soros and other Neo-Marxist groups who may well have held her illegal alien status over her head to manipulate her, while she maintained close contact with organized crime lords inside Minnesota’s Somali community. The bottom line is that it seems an illegal alien with genocidal Communist roots was illegally elected to Congress where she has spent years promoting Communism, organized crime and destruction of our Constitution and our national institutions. This reads like a Tom Clancy novel, but it’s all true and is one of the worst scandal in U.S. history. Now, finally, a President with iron will is holding her and her network of Communist thieves to account for their crimes.

What kind of fucked-up adult looks a kid in the face and tells him his future is already dead before he has even had a chance to build one?
That is the pitch.
Household income hits a record. Poverty falls to a low. And this same miserable chorus crawls into the ears of young Americans and tells them the country is a treadmill built to grind them into dust: work harder, get nowhere, capitalism already fucked you, your future is gone.
Abdul El-Sayed puts the metaphor right out in public ... America as the machine that keeps you running in place ... then rolls out the rescue package in the next breath: money out of politics, money in your pocket, Medicare for All. The system is “rigged.” Trump is the symptom. Everything is poisoned. Everything is broken. Everything somehow requires more power handed to people like him.
Now look at the people selling this shit.
Bernie Sanders became a multimillionaire preaching that ordinary people have no future. El-Sayed has done damn well inside the order he calls diseased. Hasan Piker lives large while narrating American failure like destiny. Al Gore piled up a fortune while preaching catastrophe to generations of kids.
They climbed the ladder.
They cashed the checks.
They built the careers.
Then they walked back down and told your kids the fucking ladder was fake.
That is where the con gets uglier.
Convince a kid the ladder is bullshit and the next sale becomes easy as hell. Effort becomes optional. Success becomes something owed. Every setback becomes proof America cheated you. Every disappointment becomes another reason to rage at the system. Every grievance becomes another excuse to surrender more power to the same political class promising to “fix” the misery they keep feeding you.
Then comes the fucking shopping list: thirty-two-hour weeks at full pay, public ownership, abolish ICE, abolish the Senate, abolish the Electoral College, votes for noncitizens.
Bigger despair. Bigger government. Bigger control.
That is the sale.
They need young people angry enough to hate the country, bitter enough to distrust effort, and hopeless enough to believe their future depends on politicians handing it back to them.
A kid who believes he can still build a life is dangerous to that racket.
A kid convinced he is already fucked is a customer.
The hopelessness is the inventory. The power is the fucking sale.
