Apparently, people are unaware that there is a long tradition in U.S. (and England before) of punishing "seduction of an unmarried woman of previously chaste character under promise of marriage," with up to five years’ imprisonment and a fine. The vast majority of U.S. states had such laws in the 19th and 20th centuries.
At the time, that would be the equivalent of "stringing a woman along" today, as marriage was the default assumption. While it isn't the default assumption today, it is still a category of transgression to "take advantage of a woman" in a manner that isn't rape.
What appalls me is the notion, from men and women both, that women just had zero protection throughout history and were just treated like children or property and were under the care of their fathers until marriage.

Women, especially in the American and Anglo-Saxon tradition (but also through much of Northern and Western Europe) were never treated like that. I've had to explain on here that even in ancient Rome with "pater familias," women could initiate divorce, sign contracts, and own property. They were not treated like children.

I've actually explained numerous times that, increasingly, women's definition of "rape" is simply any sex that they regret.
What's actually going on isn't that they don't understand what actual rape is, or that they're just evil. Rather, it's that there's a transgression that doesn't have a proper name nor social punishment, and it's broadly defined as "taking advantage of a woman."
That used to be punished in our society but we eliminated that as a concept and so now everything is unpunished unless it's rape. So, women have simply folded in the lesser transgressions into the category of "rape."
The solution is to restore punishment for the lesser transgressions of "taking advantage of a woman."

You are appealing to a neutral playing field that has never existed anywhere on the face of the earth at any point in the entire history of human civilization.
Wokeism is already taught in almost every public school in the country, and Islam is already taught across the Middle East.
Has it ever once occurred to Woke educators that they also need to teach conservative values just to be fair? Or to the Islamic teachers in the Middle East that they might also need to teach Christianity alongside Islam because "once the door is open", other worldviews have to be accommodated as well?
Of course not. There's no mandate for pluralism or equal time engraved anywhere in the hearts and minds of any educator, and there's never been a "value-free" education either.
Every act of instruction carries with it a particular worldview, and that particular worldview is the basis for all theological belief systems, whether they want to call themselves a religion or not.
And the fact that some on the Right have decided to dispense with this fiction that you can have an education system without actually instructing people in anything doesn't "open the door" to giving other ideologies equal instruction time.
You can literally just say, "No, we will not teach Wokeism or Islam because they are political theologies that are antithetical to our own."
I know this is a shock to many conservatives, but you can, in fact, take your own side without ever having to grant any concessions to people who hate you.

If you open the door for one religion to be taught in public schools, you also open the door for every other religion to be taught as well.
Leave education to the teachers.
Leave religion to the parents.
