I’ve often said testing your responsive designs in landscape mode is one of the fastest ways to highlight design issues, especially vertical ones. Here’s a wonderful example of that in action: xitter.cf/stommepoes/status/1390…
So what happened?
The page was built for mobile responsiveness. Portrait-mode only, of course.
Developers, CHECK YOUR MOBILE STYLES IN LANDSCAPE PLEASE. Use CSS media queries to unstick sticky shit.
ALT Two screenshots: the top one shows the page from the thread while zoomed in. Keyboard focus is on a link or button somewhere since "javascript;;" is visible in the lower-right corner, and only a line of text of the article is visible. The rest of the viewport is filled with sticky stuff about the website, not the article. The bottom screenshot shows the page at the same zoom level but now oriented to portrait (viewport is taller than wide). Now the sticky stuff takes up maybe only a fifth of the screen real estate and most of the page is the article text.
