My father died from Parkinson’s in 2019. He was an avid reader & an amateur novelist & this gave him much delight. My brother has since published his novel on Amazon with all proceeds going to @ParkinsonsUK . If you’re a fan of racing this is one for you! amazon.co.uk/Will-Win-Graham…
Just reflecting on keynote speaker @MagicCarmel from today’s @YLvsCancer conference. Carmel you blew me away;passionate, to the point, clear, succinct, funny…I cannot wait to digest with the team tomo what we are doing as project managers to make change happen. #ChangeActivist

We want a better future for children and young people with cancer. Today we’re sharing our 2024/27 strategy, The Time is Now, laying out how we'll contribute to making it happen: ow.ly/GMEM50ToyRO
Two books arrived for me today - the work me and the mummy me…don’t worry I’ve got “Abroad in Japan” also out from the library too which I can’t wait to get stuck into just for the me that is Rachel 😂
Today @YLvsCancer everyone in the charity is given the gift of a well-being and development day. It’s such a fab idea where the focus of the day is the individual . So for my well-being it’s all about the running and for my development a dummy’s guide to system thinking! ❤️

Children and young people with cancer need to be prioritised by the new UK Government.
With our friends at @CCLG_UK, alongside leading charities, we’ve written an open letter to the new Prime Minister asking him to do just that.

The results are in, and lots has changed. But we're still clear: the new UK Government must prioritise children and young people with cancer.
Congratulations to all MPs elected and @Keir_Starmer on entering No10. We're ready to work with you to deliver for young cancer patients

ALT Vic and Dylan stand outside the black front door of Number 10, Downing Street. They are knocking on the door and holding a box which contains a petition for Young Lives vs Cancer's campaign Running On Empty. Vic is wearing a black Young Lives vs Cancer t-shirt and Dylan's white t-shirt has multi-coloured dinosaurs on it. They are both looking at the camera and smiling while they knock
Love this 👇 after a weekend with the kids, I look forward to working with supportive colleagues that challenge me to look past perfectionism
Best karyoake by @Rylan this afternoon. Making a long car drive full of giggles and tuuunes - much needed!
Do you always get a little stuck choosing what film to watch? Check out my brother’s handy new book Ultimate Movie List including eighties cheese, Sunday afternoon, twist endings and much more

I can’t believe this was 7 years ago. It has taken on a new meaning to me since having kids. Sooo funny and sooo relatable now. @turner_jenny I can just see mine wandering into a SGLT like this 😂 or even worse an Exec meeting! 🤦♀️
I’m so lucky to be surrounded by some fabulous women in my life who support me and give me courage to reach higher both in my work and personal lives. To those who have made me laugh, understood and let me be me - thank you #InternationalWomensDay
My new ‘work’ book by @AnnieDuke . I know I find uncertainty uncomfortable so hoping this book provides some great tools to improve the way @YLvsCancer PMO team approach our project and planning work …watch the space
First day back in the @YLvsCancer office & what started as a general catch up about books we recently read turned into a convo about gender, race & immigration - so grateful to work in a team where we’re not afraid to talk about DEIB issues. @KeiRettaFarrell led the way for us

One of the reasons they are banning antiracist history books is because they don’t want people to learn how they constructed racism. Because the more we learn how they constructed racism, the more we learn how to deconstruct it and build equitable and just and democratic societies for all people. The more we build equitable and just and democratic societies, the more people of color resist their racist efforts to take us back and the more White people join in that antiracist resistance because they realize equitable and just and democratic societies benefit them more than a deeply unequal society ruled by fear-mongering fascists and tyrants spreading bigotry of all kinds to divide and conquer us.
