ALT This poor soul was hit by a car and found suffering on the side of the road afterwards. When her owners were contacted by San Antonio Animal Care Services, instead of getting Hazel the medical care she desperately needed her ‘owners' surrendered her! So this innocent little girl sat and waited in the shelter for someone to rescue her, hoping for the pain to go away. Hunter's Hope saw her puppy dog eyes and knew they HAD to help her! She did not deserve to suffer the way she was - no dog does! After Hazel was rescued and rushed to the vet, it was discovered that her pelvis and hip were SEVERELY fractured requiring surgery! She is currently hospitalized after undergoing her first surgery last week and is receiving laser treatments to speed the healing and reduce the amount of pain she is in. Hazel will require a second surgery on her other hip which the vet hopes to do next week. With Hazel's second surgery included, her medical care is going to cost around $3,500.
