BEATTIES – PILGRIM STREET, NEWCASTLE 🎄🚂 For me, a Saturday trip to Newcastle as a kid wasn’t complete without a visit to Beatties on Pilgrim Street. As soon as we got off the bus, this was the shop I’d make a beeline for. I was absolutely mesmerised by the model railway that ran all the way around the shop. I could have stood there for hours just watching those little trains go round and round.
