PM HAS A REQUEST FOR INDIAN CITIZENS 1. Embrace the mantra of 'Swadeshi' and 'Vocal for Local.' 2. Avoid traveling abroad merely for leisure 3. Instead of hosting weddings in foreign lands go for 'Weddings in India.' 4. Refrain from buying gold unless absolutely necessary. THIS ISN'T IMPORT SUBSTITUTION, PROTECTIONISM, ECONOMIC AUTARKY OF THE 70s. THAT WAS COERCIVE. This is advice to build STRATEGIC ECONOMIC RESILIENCE

Had the honour to hand over a facsimile of two handwritten epigrams by the influential Indian author Rabindranath Tagore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. The poems were located in the Swedish National Archives. The gift is a testament to the long-standing relations between Sweden and India.
