We have made the decision that as of 5 June 2026 we will no longer be posting on X. This reflects our commitment to ensuring that our online communications take place in spaces that are welcoming, inclusive and aligned with the RSNO's values.
Thank you for your continued support.

That was a stunning evening's entertainment with @RSNO. Totally blown away by it and they got a well deserved standing ovation at the end. I'd forgotten what a good film it is and slightly more surprisingly that it's 26 years since it was released. – at Lanark, Scotland

Great concert in @greyfriars_kirk (Greyfriars Bobby statue in the foreground) with the @RSNOChorus singing Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil in Russian, conducted by Stephen Doughty. (There was a message from the @RSNO: "The All-Night Vigil will be approximately 75 minutes.")
Belated shout out to RSNO Youth Chorus 1 for their beautiful contribution to the success of Saturday’s Come and Sing Carmina Burana. Lead by the wonderful Alison McNeill, the youngsters brought an earthy and unearthly beauty to the work’s 3rd section : Cour d’amours. Magnificent!
This is what close to a thousand voices sounds like rehearsing Carmina Burana during yesterday’s epic Come and Sing with @RSNO and @SJTDoughty. What a fantastic day it was 🔥🎶

Replying to @RSNOChorus
@RSNOChorus member David Miller has written a very insightful article all about Handel's Messiah as we approach our annual performance on Friday!
David explains, 'Messiah is not simply a recurring item in the repertoire, but a living archive – one that connects the RSNO Chorus of today directly to its origins in 1843, and to nearly two centuries of choral music-making in Scotland.'

Edinburgh, you were fantastic tonight! We loved your Christmas jumpers, your enthusiastic singing and, of course, your brilliant actions to The Penguin Song and The Twelve Days of Christmas!
Chorus Director, Stephen Doughty, in action at @CairdHallDundee this evening with @RSNO in our annual Christmas Concert. Our Dundee audience couldn’t have been lovelier, or livelier 🎶👏🏼🎄
And it’s a wrap on our trio of Home Alone Live concerts with @conductorben @RSNO. And what a blast it’s been. Audiences in Edinburgh and Glasgow couldn’t have been lovelier, and we are so glad to have had you with us 🎶🎅🏼
Grateful thanks to Kristyna Sedlata for the picture ❤️📸

We're joining forces with the @RSNOChorus (and a brilliant team of solo singers) to take on Mozart's mighty Great Mass in C minor this weekend! 🎶
After 2 hours on Mozart’s Mass in C minor, a few of our fellow choristers still found enough voice to celebrate Scotland’s transfixing win over Denmark in last night’s World Cup Qualifiers @HampdenPark. #Scotland #WorldCup2026 😅💪🏼🎶
