Nomad hubs like Bali and Thailand are nice but often people there get stuck coasting at $5K MRR because it's just cheaper to live there, so that puts kind of a natural limit on ambition, very quickly you already make "enough"
SF/NYC are so ridiculously expensive to live, so you HAVE to make a lot of money, and the high cost of living is a natural filter that keeps only broke but super ambitious or already successful people (and of course nepo babies esp NYC)
China is not so much expensive to live, but there's some natural cultural ambition to become #1 in everything that's very infectious

While this tweet is funny, there is something darker that lurks below.
A woman once reversed into my car in a car park. I had just eaten a cheese and onion sandwich (relevant).
She apologised and we started to exchange details. Then a random woman got involved saying I was looking at my phone (I was, but I was parked) and so it was my fault. She said I was reversing.
Then another woman got involved saying she saw it all and asked if we needed a witness. On seeing the hostility of the random woman the 3rd woman said she smelled booze on me. I assume the onion, but it was mental. They convinced themselves and the other woman who was initially apologetic that a static car was both moving and to blame for being reversed in to.
Thank god for CCTV!

I've received a bunch of notifications today about the "Block Blaster" ... pseudo-takedown that occurred in response to a group of individuals spearphishing and cryptodraining a cancer patient.
I appreciate everyone thanking me or giving me a congratulations.
I am not fully responsible for the actions which occurred. I did reverse engineer the malware and identify infrastructure, however any work done was accelerated due to a group of people.
When I announced I was going to look at the video game closer to determine if it was malware (it was malware), a person contacted me and spun up a group of like minded people interested in examining Block Blaster closer.
