So excited to see our latest paper out today! We found that providing short-term financial assistance can help Veterans achieve stable housing. Great to work with such a distinguished and collaborative team including @TomHByrne, @jacktsailab, and @StefanKertesz.
Cohort study finds temporary financial assistance for homeless individuals or those at risk of becoming homeless is associated with an increase in stable housing outcomes. @UofUMedicine @VeteransHealth ja.ma/2Z1VINF

So fun to work on this with @damon_toth and @msamore! One good thing that came of 2020. Mathematical modeling and health economics go together like chocolate and peanut butter.
New publication! Part of a special issue from our team - strong showing from @SLC_IDEAS and @Utah_IDD. Rich Nelson and I found a magical synergy of math modeling and health economics on this one. Still don't know how we finished this during 2020 chaos. academic.oup.com/cid/article…

Who wants to write a grant with me to find more evidence? This could be a lot of fun!
Thanks to @SLC_IDEAS for strengthening the evidence-base in support of the theory that our investigators do have a sense of humor!

NEW 🔥 A must read article by researchers from @SLC_IDEAS @uudbmi in CID MRSA Colonization and Pre- and Post-hospital Discharge Infection Risk. Being colonized with MRSA increases the risk of subsequent infection during and after hospitalization.
