I didn't believe them when they said we would die in a polar desert due to the coming Ice Age. I didn't believe them when they said 200 million people a year would die from famine. I didn't believe them when they said oil would be exhausted by 2000. I didn't believe them when they said Nitrogen concentration in the atmosphere was going to block half of all sunlight, making farming impossible. I didn't believe them when they said the world's computer systems would all collapse at midnight on January 1, 2000. That's why I don't believe their predictions about 'climate change' or the 'AI apocalypse'. Because I know better.

There's a lot of discussions about the frightening geometric progression of AI capabilities. But make sure you consider that that progression will continue as fast or faster.
