Pictures from today, where @RoyalNavy sailors from RNAS Culdrose took part in the #Trafalgar and Nelson Thanksgiving Parade in the village of Madron, in west #Cornwall, with a service in the same church where the first such service was conducted in 1805.
Sailors from RNAS Culdrose marched through the village of Madron, near Penzance this morning for the Trafalgar and Nelson Thanksgiving Parade. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the event, which of course commemorates the historic naval victory and death of Nelson in 1805.

Culdrose is bidding farewell (almost) to a helicopter pilot with a extraordinary career (more than 8,800 flying hours & 400+ search and rescue operations) of 40 years in the @RoyalNavy. Lt Cdr Andrew ‘Tank’ Murray is however staying here and joining the Civil Service next month.

This week is the first for RNAS Culdrose’s new executive officer - Commander Andrew ‘Scooby’ Plenty. Pictured is Cdr Richie Turrell (left) handing over the role. Like his predecessor, Cdr Plenty has come up through the ranks to become the station's second in command @RoyalNavy
Congratulations to Lieutenant Peter ‘Cheezy’ Stilton, who has stepped up to temporially cover the role of first lieutenant at RNAS Culdrose. He is covering the position, the right-hand of the station’s executive officer, at least until the end of the year. #TeamCuldrose

Culdrose's 820 Naval Air Squadron held a day dedicated to #engineering training, with a wide range of activities reinforcing the procedures of how to safely operate @RoyalNavy Merlin Mk2 helicopters on aircraft carriers - including the correct way to tie knots #820NAS @820NAS
RNAS Culdrose welcomes back Warrant Officer Nicholas ‘Nick’ Stevens, as base warrant officer (better known just as BWO). He's no stranger at Culdrose having served with 1700 NAS & Merlin Helicopter Force but had spent the last few years at Navy Command in Portsmouth.
The summer has been a busy period for Merlin Helicopter Force – here two flights of @RoyalNavy Merlin Mk2 helicopters are pictured operating recently from Culdrose's forward base in #Scotland at HMS Gannet, attached to Prestwick Airport.
