Don’t trust the English. 5. We are simply the means by which historical reason drives the progressive self-realisation of absolute freedom. 6. Don’t sweat the little shit.
Looking forward to learning the six laws that all historical processes obey

We say Epstein got away with rape because he was rich and powerful. I know from painful experience that Epstein got away with rape because people at every echelon of society get away with rape. I wrote about rape in polite society for @readliberties libertiesjournal.com/article…

This is Popeslop Just totally meaningless, uninspired, uninteresting, like trying to walk waist-deep in mud. Absolute humiliation for the Church and all Catholics

for the myriad defenders of rapists online today as a backlash to the Cornell 7 case: don't worry, most rape victims don't even bother to press charges or even tell anyone. they know what lies in store for them: hostility, doubt, scorn, contempt, insults, threats. sympathy from a few but not enough to compensate for the pain from other quarters. in the long run, statistically, the perpetrators & their defenders win. & we are well into a misogynist era in this T***p presidency in which professional women, especially Black women, have been demoted, terminated from positions they have earned in the military & in government.

It's somehow appropriate that a guy from psychology, a field with a research study replication failure rate of between 60 and 80%, has appointed himself the watchdog of scholarly integrity for a dozen fields he knows nothing about. thenerve.news/p/steven-pinke…

Today’s Democratic Socialists arise largely from the rejection of yesterday’s neoliberal order, an order that was itself, to a great extent, a creature of Democratic centrism. This is in part why it’s harder to reconcile tensions within the left than within the right.

It was such an honor to give a keynote at the Republicanism conference in Venice, alongside Philip Pettit, one of the most prominent republican thinkers today. The first meeting of republican scholars in Venice was in 2019, and the network has expanded tremendously since then.

It is worth noting that Starmer has been a disastrous PM, whose premiership saw him abandon every principled position that had characterized his career before leading the Labour Party. A real study in the moral catastrophe of centrist careerism.
