I want to Thank our seniors for the time effort they have put into our program over the years. This season did not go like any of us planned, but our seniors kept coming to work each & every day. Football is a great teacher of life lessons. Thank you Seniors! @reddevilsfball
Here is your 2022 River Cities Football League 6th grade Champions!!! Super proud of these athletes and their accomplishments! This team had an undefeated season and rolled right into the championship winning 30-28 in 2OTs. The future of Red Devil football looks fantastic!
It has been a FANTASTIC week to be a RMS Red Devil! 6th grade won in the first round of the RCFL playoffs against West Carter 16-8. The 7th grade ended their season against Boyd, winning 33-6. The 8th grade celebrated their final football game at RMS with a win over Boyd 22-6.
A big thank you to the Flatwoods and Russell fire departments, police departments, Patriot EMS, and all of the other first responders who were on the scene to help take care of the young man. Your protection of our community and our children is greatly appreciated!!
On a more somber note our thoughts and prayers go out to the young man from East Carter who was flown out of the stadium today during the 6th grade game. The initial report was he had no feeling in his legs, but by the time the helicopter came he could move his toes.
This week our middle school boys took care of business! The 8th and 7th grade beat Greenup county 8-0 and 26-0. Our 6th grade beat East Carter 24-0. It was a great week to be a RMS Red Devil!
Today our hearts go out to the West Carter community. The unfortunate loss of two of their students is a solemn reminder that life is precious and fragile. Take the time to say a kind word or let someone know you care.
This week our Devils took on Ashland Middle School. The 7th grade came out of Putnam Stadium with a 14-0 victory. The 8th grade mounted a late comeback falling just shy of what they needed to take the game into overtime losing 24-16. These were great games by our boys! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 🏈🏈
Today our 6th grade Devils roll out of ramland with a victory. 16-6 was the final on the day. This was a hard fought defensive battle with all the scores occurring in the 4th quarter. Way to go boys! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🏈🏈
This week in Russell Middle School Football both the 7th & 8th grade teams fall in hard fought games vs Lawrence Co on Thursday. Today our 6th grade team has another fierce victory vs Greenup Co 34-0. No matter how you slice it, the future looks bright on Red Devil Hill!
Our 6th grade team traveled to Olive Hill this weekend taking on West Carter. The Devils put on an offensive showcase beating the Comets 26-0! Way to make your school proud boys!
