October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Rhode Island's Crime Victim Compensation Program (CVCP) can reimburse victims up to $25,000 for medical care, counseling, relocation, lost wages, funeral costs, and more.

I joined community partners for an informational session on RI ABLE. With 860 active accounts statewide, we’re continuing to expand access and help more people with disabilities build greater financial independence.
Since 1993, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island has been there for the veterans of our state, making sure those who served our country have access to the resources and support they deserve. 🇺🇸 I was proud to be there and help serve those who have given so much to our communities.

August 26, 1920 – the 19th Amendment was certified, which prohibited the denial of voting rights based on sex. Today, and in the 106 years since that day, we celebrate the progress that has been made, while also recognizing there is more work to be done to ensure full equality.
