A review of 14 SADC & EAC countries shows major policy gaps. – at Malawi
Only 🇰🇪 Kenya, 🇲🇿 Mozambique, 🇿🇦 South Africa & 🇿🇲 Zambia explicitly address migrant AYP—including undocumented young people—in healthcare access.
We need policies that:
🔹 Remove documentation barriers
🔹 Protect against discrimination – at Malawi
🔹 Strengthen cross-border health systems
🔹 Explicitly include migrant AYP
🔹 Strengthen evidence & accountability
Migration status should never determine access to essential healthcare.
