Quick thread with my grades for the Nuggets' offseason moves that will be updated as additional moves are made (going for a C being truly a neutral move because I feel a lot of these kinds of things are skewed too high):

Hello I'm here to say that Javon Small has not played in the first half for Memphis tonight and also he would be easily the second best point guard for the Nuggets right now. Just call Memphis and work something out it can't be that difficult.
If Javon Small is genuinely the 4th point guard in Memphis the Nuggets should've traded for him yesterday

It's a final in Memphis and the Griz have wasted one of the 50 games Small can be active for on a DNP-CD and Cam Spencer only played 16 minutes. I'm sorry but you can't convince me it wouldn't be possible to work out a trade for one of them.

Does everyone still want to be mad at me about this?
Is this anything? Yes I know the Nuggets won't actually do this

Anyway I hope the Nuggets win tomorrow but if they do it doesn't mean they're winning the title and if they don't it doesn't mean they're bad. Just something to keep in mind!
My biggest takeaway from yesterday's games are that everyone loves to overreact to one game, especially when it's the first one that's been played in a while.

At the end of the season when we're getting ready for the playoffs we're going to look back at these games as if they basically don't matter at all, but today we're going to act like they prove definitively which teams/players are better than others.

Also, fwiw, any team that does not have a player in Tier 4 or higher is not one I'd consider a serious threat to win the title.
Didn't do a full player ranking before the season because there are too many players too close to rank, but I do have what ended up being my top 46 players broken out into 5 tiers. Players within the same tier are largely interchangeable and any ordering of them is fine imo: 🧵

Nothing ground breaking here, but by extension, the teams I believe could plausibly win the championship this season are (not necessarily in this order of likelihood): Nuggets Thunder Spurs Heat Lakers Celtics Raptors Warriors Pacers Pistons Knicks Sixers Wolves

Tier 5 cont, part 2: Rudy Gobert Scottie Barnes Ty Jerome Tyrese Maxey That's it! I also have tiers 6 and 7 put together but not sure if it's necessary to post unless there's interest.

This one is definitely up there with the strangest predictions I've seen, picking the Nuggets to only win 43 games but also win the title lol
2026-27 NBA Regular Season Projectios It's going to be a fun season. I'm all in for the Joker winning another ring, and against all expectations banking on the Nuggets winning the title as a 5-seed. The East (625 wins) will beat the West (605 wins). Projected team records:

I have to say, opening the season with a game at 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon is one of the choices of all time

People are understandably not picking the Nuggets to win the title or anything this season but they are not the 15th best team in the league lol nytimes.com/athletic/7702165…

I'm not surprised by this. Also I think it's fine.
You shouldn't expect a rookie scale extension for Denver's Julian Strawther before Monday's 6 PM ET deadline, either, a source said. The Nuggets like Strawther, but a deal doesn't appear to be in the cards.

My hot take is this is actually bad because Jones playing is gonna push Brazile out of the rotation
We’re getting Spencer Jones at Nuggets practice today 👀

I would think this very likely means Brazile will be in the rotation opening night
David Adelman says Aaron Gordon won’t play tonight for Denver. Trevon Brazile will start with the usual starters.

Obviously you never want guys to be hurt, but I hope the Nuggets can at least use Jones' (and to a lesser extent Strawther's) injury as a way of seeing the value of playing more size at the backup 4.
