It's comical at this point but it's reached a point where as each day passes, Ridley Scott gets more and more unlikable.
Director Ridley Scott reportedly blamed Paul Mescal for Gladiator 2's underperformance, claiming the lead actor wasn't โmasculine enoughโ for the role. bit.ly/4iHKKqp

Spider-Man Brand New Day
Between this and No Way Home, I honestly don't know which one I like more. No Way Home had the advantage of nostalgia, but this one felt like it brought a fresh focus, a new direction, and laid some really exciting pathways for what's to come. I think it nailed that.
Peter very much felt like the Void... without actually being the Void. You could feel him losing himself, scared of what he might become, and that's where the movie really hit for me. You genuinely feel for him. Spider-Man is loved by everyone, but Peter is completely alone, and the film really captures the importance of letting go and accepting help when you need it. I personally loved the story in Thunderbolts, so I think that's why Peter's journey resonated with me so much here.
Punisher was incredible. He was funny, serious, and brought some genuinely hard-hitting emotional moments. His chemistry with Spidey felt so natural, like two dysfunctional brothers who constantly butt heads but would do anything for each other. I loved that dynamic. I think it's Tom's best performance of Peter in my opinion.
And finally... Hulk got the justice he's been needing. It was so good seeing that rage again. I think Hulk fans, and MCU fans in general, are going to appreciate.
I'm also really happy with what they did with MJ and Ned. It opens the door for so many possibilities moving forward, and I think it was the right call.
Sadie... all I'm gonna say is, damn she's good. Real good. Bloody damn GOOD!
The pacing was great, but the actual amount of story felt lighter than the previous Spider-Man films. From what I've been reading, a lot of people have been pointing that out... along with some pretty wild debates about the physics. ๐
Personally, I just thought it was too short. I genuinely wanted another hour, but that's only because I was so invested and excited to see where it was all heading.
AFTER CREDITS: Yes, there is one right at the very end. I've seen a lot of people online saying to skip it. Don't. If you understand what it's actually setting up, it's a major moment. If you walk away thinking it wasn't important... I'm sorry, but I don't think you saw what was really happening.

#Backrooms star Chiwetel Ejiofor on working with director Kane Parsons and initially learning his age:
โAt the time, I was also told, โYou should know that the director is 19.โ And I obviously thought about myself when I was 19 and thought, โHow is this going to work? What would it have been like if it were me at 19 trying to direct this movie?โ
โAfter reading the script, I was excited about it. Obviously, I was excited about what Kane had created and โThe Backroomsโ series. I thought it was incredible. There were specific things that I was completely taken with. Then we had a Zoom conversation, and I realized very quickly that Kane isnโt your common-or-garden 19- or 20-year-old. It was almost literally the last time that I thought about him as a young director.โ

You know what, CFO Lin Tao? You right.
In honor of this very brave response to the shareholders (and not the community), I present my reasons for loving this magical state and future we will embark on together:
1โฃ I don't have to worry about owning my games anymore
2โฃ My wallet gets to enjoy dynamic pricing. I LOVE surveillance that makes me spend more!
3โฃ I get the privilege of license checks, YAY!
4โฃ Registering my disc drive really made me feel like I owned it. But now I don't need to worry about that inconvenience!
5โฃ Waiting 7 years between first-party games builds character
6โฃ Live-service games keep dying before I have to waste my time playing them
7โฃ My backlog gets bigger while the release schedule gets smaller
10/10 Consumer experience. Would sell my soul again.
Thank you for speaking directly to your shareholders in order to make sure their fears are alleviated (because who cares about the people who actually buy the products, amirite?)
Sony CFO Lin Tao says they will not change their plans to end physical disc production and will cautiously move forward with the plan!
"There are various reasons we made this decision, the biggest being that the digitalization of content overall has been progressing, thatโs the big factor. Itโs not just for PlayStation, but for all kinds of content, digitalization is progressing.
And so when we think about the futureโand we put in a lot of thought and time, and we cautiously considered thisโand we came to this conclusion, and weโre going to cautiously move this forward. And to this decision, we have received various opinions and people have strong views, and we understand that the community has put forth those views to us.
Games are loved by many people. Itโs a form of entertainment thatโs loved by people, and itโs connected to peopleโs fond memories in many cases. And so we understand those emotions. We want to consider that. And in the future digital ecosystem, how do we engage the gamers is something that we would like to continue to explore."
