I've been counting down the last four Resident Evil releases, but this one is something special: RESIDENT EVIL CODE: VERONICA REMAKE IS FINALLY HAPPENING!
#REBHFun
With Capcom, a Cyberpunk situation would never happen. I'd love to have it soon, just like everyone else, but if a few more months of development make the game better, then so be it.

I honestly don’t mind, yes it’s annoying but I’d rather them take their time you know? Don’t want a oh cyberpunk situation do we now?🤷♂️🙈🙈🤷♂️
Crazy to think this game could come out around the same time as Intergalactic.
This quoted post is unavailable.
They did it this way because they expected to be able to release it in Q1 2027, and this delay to fall confirms it.
They must have run into problems after revealing the game; otherwise, they wouldn't have revealed it.

Didnt seem that Q1 is in game.
But didnt expect this, why did they even annouce it instead of doing like RE3R reveal in december
FALL 2027?! I'M DEAD X_X
My countdown... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
As Dusk says, Capcom is going through a crunch period to get a Q1 release. It's the first RE without a release date since RE8, which had issues due to COVID. It was originally supposed to launch in Q1 2021 but ended up releasing in May, with its release date announced in January.
As expected, nothing about Veronica. The thing is, we have no sign of a Resident Evil Showcase either. I'd find it hard to believe they'd go 6 months without showing anything, that has never happened in the RE Engine era. And as I said, the press saw the game at Gamescom.
Capcom Spotlight in 30 minutes. Resident Evil Veronica isn't scheduled to appear, so don't expect anything major. In the best case, they could mention that there will be a Resident Evil Showcase in October, but I have doubts about it.

By the way, there was definitely Resident Evil Veronica content shown to the press behind closed doors at Gamescom. I would assume there's an embargo scheduled to be lifted at some point, but I don't know about it, I only know they saw the game.

The physical edition releases on January 29th, by the way.

Remember that all of these comments are my opinion, not information. As of now, I have no knowledge of anyone having played Veronica behind closed doors.
We'll have a PlayStation State of Play this Thursday at a somewhat unusual time, which is the first realistic opportunity IMO for Resident Evil Veronica to show up
Although I think it's more likely to happen with Nintendo, alongside the announcement of 2R, 3R, and 4R for NSW2
State of Play returns on September 3, followed immediately by State of Play Japan!

We should put the Requiem DLC out of our minds for now. Everything we've heard is that it will come after Veronica, and Dusk said a little while ago that the Requiem DLC is pointing to a late 2027 release.
As expected, nothing on Resident Evil Veronica. I told to keep expectations low. Requiem was announced in June for Gamescom last year, so if Veronica wasn't announced, it obviously wouldn't be there. I can assure you 100% nobody has played it yet. It simply wasn't time to show it
One hour to Gamescom's Opening Night Live! Just a reminder that Yoshiaki Hirabayashi is most likely there for a closed-door press preview. We could see Resident Evil Veronica today, but don't expect it.
Keep expectations low—if it appears, it'll be a nice surprise :)

Gamescom isn't that big of a stage for RE. Last year, they only showed a cinematic because they had gameplay to show and it was going to be playable there. This year, RE wasn't announced as playable, so there's nothing to show. Hopefully we'll hear what Hirabayashi is doing there
My current theory is that they could repeat what they did with Requiem and announce a new trilogy for Switch 2 (this time 2R, 3R and 4R) alongside Veronica Trailer 2. If not, then at some Resident Evil Showcase.

And to wrap things up, MP1st has reported that, according to one of their sources, the Resident Evil Requiem DLC is being developed by M-Two and K2
The same teams that worked on RE4R's Separate Ways.
