Question 3 on the ballot in Virginia this year honestly isn’t getting much attention, but it should make every decent person sick to their stomach.
Imagine the worst, most heinous and violent criminal you know.
Now imagine that person gets to vote, and their vote counts the same as yours - how your tax dollars are spent. How your kids’ schools are run. How well the police are able to protect us from people like them.
That’s question 3. Automatic restoration of voting rights should terrify anyone with something or someone to protect.
A case-by-case restoration of rights as @GlennYoungkin championed is the only responsible path.

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger is proposing 277,000 acres of solar panels to produce home grown “clean” energy.
That’s the size of Fairfax County, Arlington County, and the City of Alexandria combined.
Ninety percent of the solar panels would be placed on farmland and forests.
Millions of trees would be clear-cut.
State Senator Glen Sturtevant says solar is unreliable and he once again called for a statewide data center moratorium.
The governor’s energy report says data centers are driving 90% of new energy demand.

We’re talking about people who were convicted of murder, rape, child abuse, and bank robbery. Several had decades left on their sentences. Several victims have pleaded with the board not to release.
Today, one inmate told the Virginia Parole Board he and his fellow inmates are thankful the board is letting them out and then told the board to have a “safe day.”

🚨New: Fairfax County Chairman Jeff McKay spent more than a quarter million tax dollars to build a COVID memorial and the Board of Supervisors voted to spend nearly a million tax dollars for the planning of an arts hub with few details on how it would benefit the community.
The Taxpayers Protection Alliance said this is not where taxpayer money should go, especially since county leaders couldn’t find the money for crossing guards at local high schools and have continued to raise local taxes year after year.
In fact, Fairfax County now has one of the highest property tax rates in Virginia. And the Board of Supervisors, led by McKay, also recently implemented a food tax despite voters shooting it down twice.
