New Music Alert 🚨
"On Purpose" - Jazmeyne (2021) 🎶
Produced by yours truly!
(Links below)
in 2024 Kendrick sampled two (2) songs from "The Wood" (1999)
"Luther" - "If This World Were Mine" - Luther Vandross (1982) which is a major music bed for the movie
"Euphoria" - "You're My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration" by Teddy Pendergrass (1981) plays at the wedding
I like the distorted dance beat that "Got To Be" by Childish Gambino (2024) turns into but the first 30 seconds is gorgeous and deserved more runway before switching
when The Last Dance dropped i REALLY wanted that same kinda format (structure, depth, unseen footage, BTS stories etc.) for Roc-A-Fella while nearly everyone is still alive and with it.
it was unlikely but doable then... now i REALLY don't see it happening to its full potential
actually glad #JayZin8 isn't 1-day lump some bc I know myself, I would 100% binge in 1 day then its just done.
Having something to tap into weekly is nice.
ALSO its cool for the internet conversations to be focused on a few talking points at a time rather than lost in overload

Cinema is powerful because we all see this cake and think of the same movie.
A quick word on "You Owe Me" by Nas (1999)
in the 90s-early 00s lotta rappers caught flack for fun pop or R&B leaning "soft" singles. so naturally Nas was no exception when he did it. Many dope records & artists were dissed back then HOWEVER... they kinda got it right that time
great rapper legend etc. just don't think he excells often in that lane (which is fine, every rapper doesn't have to)
bc when a song is undeniable there's nothing you can do about it. 50 tried to turn the world against Ja and his Rap-R&B duets but them shits STILL ring off today

It's a misdirect. Doom gone pull off that mask and it's gone be Terrence Howard
I still think Marvel should not have revealed that RDJ is the Doctor Doom so early. 👀
Imagine walking into Avengers: Doomsday knowing absolutely nothing...
Doom unmasks and BOOM... it's Robert Downey Jr. 😭🔥
The theater would have LOST IT.
Wouldn't that have been one of Marvel's biggest movie reveals ever??📺📺📺
this is random but i think Neil Patrick Harris could have done a good job as Tony Stark / Iron Man. Die his hair dark and put him in the MCU bootcamp. He has the sense of humor, the witty vibe and snarky deliver. He can also really act and show emotion
as i've rewatched the fast series (for who know what reason besides boredom) i have noticed Rome (tyrese) after his first entry (2 fast 2 furious) morphs into a full on kevin hart character as the series goes on. his comments, timing, delivery and overall roll he plays
i see the reports but i'm not seeing the official #Verzuz post i wonder if this Joe vs. Donell Jones is confirmed / locked in or if they're doing it on their own
MORNING DEW (DONK) REMIX ft. Jay-Z is dope. the added samples reminded me of the recent live show mashups
I know factually
Spider-Man: No Way Home came out in 2021
Spider-Man: Brand New Day came out in 2026
but it just does NOT feel like they really took 5 years between movies in my head. Maybe the Post-End Game MCU fatigue caused some time blindness
if you rewatch "Life" (1999) it becomes even more apparent that Claude (Martin Lawrence) is a scumbag through and through
last #spiderman movie, i had muted everything and avoided marvel content and a day or so before i went to see it someone put a spoiler in the comments of a random COOKING VIDEO on Tiktok... I was so mad
seeing #spiderman tonight so no one can spoil shit like last time around
