This performance pierces right through my heart, instantly transporting me back to The Great Dream Returns. Since his Nanjing concert, I’ve held onto this recording of his first concert, of his first tour. My footage captures him up close... the breathtaking atmosphere, the umbrella and the very soul he poured into every expression.. showing how deeply he loved this character he embodied for months. While the full stage showed him ascending on a wire, lifted by the water, locked on his face, capturing the raw heartbreak. He didn't just perform... he brought the Great Demon back to life right before our eyes. And it was when I heard his voice singing Yuanzhou's Youth live that it truly broke me. It is spellbindingly captivating.. so heartbreakingly beautiful that I couldn't bear to share it until now.
When I finished Fangs of Fortune, I was depressed. I don't like sad endings.. I usually stay away. So I hope you understand why I couldn't share this sooner. Why I kept it hidden, replaying it only on my rainy days. Replaying it on Hou Minghao's rainy days. Replaying it when I missed the Great Demon so much.
This iconic song is an ethereal, haunting masterpiece. Hou Minghao sang this with so much of his heart that I have no words... just an ocean of emotions, both empty and full... a contradiction that is my ultimate weakness. It evokes every ounce of my painful longing for Zhao Yuanzhou. It makes me want to rewrite his ending, to give him the happy one he deserved. Maybe one day I will learn to let him go... to accept his fate... to reconcile his willingness ... his beautiful heart and the depth of his soul.. committed to saving us all....ending his pain when he wanted to live the most 😭😭😭
In his farewell letter, Hou Minghao wrote: "If you encounter rainy days in the future, that will be me coming to keep you company" He also wrote: "Turn the boat around. Let it be just a great dream. On the other shore, someone is looking for me"
Because the last line of the lyrics says it all "The wind blows far, the distant boat has come to shore"
So today, on this 2nd anniversary, I am turning the boat around. I am letting the distant come to shore one more time.. for my beloved Zhao Yuanzhou ☔️

쉽지 않은 일들도 많이 겪었고, 서로 의지하고 응원하면서 함께 나란히 싸워왔잖아요. 그렇게 지금까지 왔던 순간들과 모든 과정들이 떠올라요. 그래서 비가 올 때 혼자 창밖을 바라보고 있으면, 그 모든 일들이 생각나요.
사실 저는 겉으로 보기에는 굉장히 이성적인 사람이라는 걸 다들 아실 거예요. 다른 사람들이 보기에도 굉장히 이성적인 사람처럼 보이겠지만, 사실 제 마음속에는 굉장히 여린 부분이 있어요.
사실 콘서트에서 이런 말을 하려고 했던 건 아니었어요. 그런데 방금 그 노래를 듣고 나니까... 조원주 때부터 시작해서 지난 몇 년 동안 여러분은 줄곧 제 곁을 함께해 주셨고, 저에게 모든 응원과 박수를 보내주셨어요. 여러분이 주신 모든 것들을 마음속에 간직하고 있어요. 이 순간 여러분에게 큰 목소리로 말하고 싶어요.

Title: “When I was at the concert, Hou Minghao’s parents were sitting right beside me…
My connection with Auntie began when the confetti streamers were released at the start of the show. I reached out to catch the streamers floating down through the air, but I just couldn't manage to catch one. Not long afterward, the auntie sitting beside me put the streamer in her hand into my palm…I looked at this warmhearted and gentle auntie and smiled to express my gratitude. At the time, I simply thought she was a very warm and kind auntie!
We waved our lightsticks together and sang along with the crowd. After two songs, I suddenly realized that the uncle and auntie sitting beside me looked somewhat familiar. Only then did I remember that the people sitting right next to me were none other than Xiao Hou's parents.
Throughout the entire concert, I didn't want to disturb them two while they were enjoying the show, so I simply pretended that I hadn't recognized them. Auntie really is such a, such a, such a wonderful person. She sang along to every single one of Xiao Hou's songs and she even cheered along with all the Kiwis in the audience!
When Xiao Hou walked over to the section where we were sitting and I couldn't find him onstage, she would even take the initiative to gently tap my shoulder and tell me, ‘He's right here!’
When Xiao Hou was on stage, being urged on by Kiwis to do push-ups, she would sorry for him and softly say, ‘He hasn't even had dinner yet!’
When Xiao Hou's was on the horizontal extended stage in the air and was the closest to us, she would be nonstop waving her lightstick to support him. She also said that for his concerts, Xiao Hou's extended stage would be made to reach as far as possible into the venue, so that he could get as close to everyone as he possibly could!
Although I was only sitting beside her for three hours, I could genuinely feel her deep, deep, deep love for Xiao Hou, how much she cherishes him, and how proud she is of him. Auntie really is such a wonderful, very wonderful, warmhearted person. And the Xiao Hou I like must be an equally wonderful, very wonderful, warmhearted person!
Toward the end, I asked Auntie, ‘May I shake your hand?’ Auntie realized that I knew who she was. She agreed and then gave my hand a firm squeeze. I also quietly expressed to Auntie how much I like Xiao Hou!
The attached photos are of me and Auntie's light sticks together, as well as the confetti Auntie placed in my palm.
