Happy Cancerversary to me! I mean it! I am who I am today because 2 years ago cancer broke who I was into a thousand pieces. Who I am today is what was rebuilt out of those pieces. And I like who I am today. (But also fuck cancer.)

The gender today is the smell of a library and sound of someone walking on snow.
It is so exhausting that, every time I find myself in an intellectual or professional situation with strangers, I have to go to great lengths to prove myself in order to not be talked down to.
All of a sudden I'm getting followed by a string of "name+bunchof#s" people and it's making me really nervous.

I wish captions would include the actual words people say when they speak other languages, instead of just saying [speaks in] + whatever language it is. It feels so patronizing, as if they can't imagine that we could understand another language.
