Today is National Coming Out Day.
I came out to the world at 15 and never looked back. I have for sure faced bigotry and hatred for being gay, but living my life authentically has been so worth it.
Even with all the negatives, I can assure you I am happier, healthier, and in a better place in my life than I would be if I had continued living a life in the closet.
To those of you who don't feel safe or comfortable coming out, I will keep fighting to live in a world where that isn't a concern for more and more people.
I am a happy gay man. I have a wonderful partner and an amazing family and community of friends.
And that makes the worst people furious.

The president is a rapist and war criminal who has covered up for pedophiles, terrorized the streets of American cities, used government to enrich himself, stolen voter registries, killed American citizens, deported legal citizens to foreign prisons, denied people due process of the law, bombed school children in a foreign country, actively cheered a genocide, caused a humanitarian crisis in Yemen, and directly caused food and fuel prices to go up due to getting us into an unprovoked war with Iran. The good news is a lot of spineless Republicans are probably going to lose in November.
The bad news is they will be replaced by Democrats who will keep spending more just as the Republicans have and the deficits and debt will still grow.

It is more normal to worry about gas prices and your rising cost of living than it is to focus on trans people.
The former affects everyone, the latter is about 1% of the population.
But guess which animates MAGA more online.
Yeah, its weird that the GOP controls every branch of government and the only thing they have to run on is "we don't like Trans people".
