There's this old woman in my street who sells food at the market. She's always busy, and according to people around, she leaves home very early and usually comes back late. Yesterday, when I went to get something from a shop I overheard her husband talking to my pastor about their marriage. The man was complaining about his wife and said he was seriously thinking about marrying another woman. My pastor asked him why he wanted to take a second wife after spending so many years with his wife. His response honestly surprised me. According to him, his wife doesn't "allow him to have that thing" anymore, and whenever he tries to talk to her about it, she keeps saying she's tired. He said she spends most of her time selling food at the market. She leaves home early, comes back late, and by the time she gets home, she's already exhausted. The man said he's tired of complaining and doesn't think he can continue living like that. According to him, he now wants to marry a younger woman who will have more time for him and "satisfy him properly."

I met this guy at a supermarket on Friday, and honestly, I didn't expect the conversation to go the way it did. He told me he liked me and wanted us to talk. Then he asked why my read receipt was turned off. I told him I just preferred it that way and that I've had it off for over four years. I refused, and he said, “We haven't even started dating and you're already disobeying me.” I was honestly surprised, but I didn't argue with him. We continued talking. Then this afternoon, he messaged me again. I didn't reply immediately because I was sleeping. He accused me of deliberately ignoring him and talking to other guys. I explained that I hadn't seen the message, but he still insisted that I turn on my read receipt. When I refused again, he told me I wasn't going to make a good wife because I wasn't submissive.
