This past offseason everything changed for the Celtics including their offensive identity. With Jaylen Brown traded to Philly for Paul George it's clear that Tatum will be their main ball handler and scorer with the offense revolving around him.
In the 2 pre season games Tatum has played he's had 17 and 19 shot attempts all while playing under 30 minutes. There will be no minute restrictions for Tatum this season as he is even expected to play in back to backs. There is a clear path to huge scoring upside. Don't forget he use to average 30.1 PPG in the 22-23 season and hasn't showed signs of slowing down even after the achilles tear.
His playmaking upside is very intriguing here. Last season he averaged 12.3 potential assists and that's on limited minutes and with a crowded backcourt. This year he will be bringing up the ball much more often.
When playing 33+ minutes he cleared his line of 5.5 at a 70% clip averaging 7.3 per game. We've seen in the preseason Tatum already connecting on lobs with newly acquired big man Mitchell Robinson who they signed in FA's from the New York Knicks. This acquisition has set Tatum up with many opportunities off the PNR to either score or assists a spot up or the roller.
I think that this line is mispriced and we will see him soar through this to open the NBA season.

This is a rough matchup for DeAaron Fox and we saw him struggle heavily in the playoffs last year vs the Thunder. Last 3 games vs them he was held to 5, 9 and 12 points while shooting below 40% in all three.
Last season the Thunder ranked 1st in points allowed to PG's with 21.6 points per game, one of the best defenses overall in the league. Fox is expected to be covered by Cason Wallace who just got a hefty extention and one of the leagues best defenders.
Fox likes to push the pace in transition with his quickness, as 22% of his shots come from fast break buckets where the Thunder defend best in the league ranked #1.
50% of his shots consist of inside the paint where the Thunder have Chet Holmgren or Isaiah Hartenstein waiting for him. That duo last season held the Thunder in top 5 in paints allowed in the paint + restricted area.
The Spurs are expected to insert Dylan Harper into the lineup going with 3 guards now which only is expected to reduce his role handling the ball + scoring opportunities.

Joaquin Buckley vs Mike Malott fight to not go the distance
5 round fight here, with two fighters who have great finishing capabilities. Buckley was on a 6 game winning streak before losing to Sean Brady and Usman after being held to the ground the whole fight.
IF Buckley even slightly trained take down defense and allows this fight to stay on the feet, I think someone gets knocked out. Don't count out Mike Malott here though who had a clean fight and knocked out Gilbert Burns back in April.
