compiler engineering team at blueshift (yes it's a thing now) is finally having some nice things I used to have when I worked on a serious compiler
picture 1: the bench tests use CU to catch any change in codegen. code diff and debug dumps get saved so we can easily triage/verify the new behavior (again all credits go to @Zensen977 lol)
picture 2: build-sbpf has a dump flag to print control flow so I don't need to chew assembly like an animal
