First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed the arrests began early this morning. At least 11 are already in custody, with more expected.
This is part of a much bigger push:

"Operation Protect the Vote" hit all FOUR U.S. attorney districts in the state.
Prosecutors say some of them didn't just register illegally. They actually CAST BALLOTS.
Now DOJ is suing California to set aside mail ballots from more than 20,000 people it flagged as likely noncitizens.
According to the DOJ complaint, Los Angeles County turned away a federal agent's encrypted thumb drive with the list.
California had every chance to help clean this up and chose not to.

My second question is why would allegedly decent law abiding citizen would flee their home at night like a thief.
Ilhan Omar left her DC home at 4 AM on October 12, 30 minutes before the HSI agency began monitoring her house.
The raid occurred two hours later. Since then, no one has seen her again; two sources from the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) said she was likely informed in advance and there could possibly be a chance that she may have had left the country.
Thoughts: Someone involved had warned Omar in advance that there would be a nighttime raid, so she had time to flee the house in the middle of the night.
