@WestJet @WestJetNews @APforJustice I'm not a person that typically takes to social media with an issue or escalation, however, today is an exception. First off, it's my fault for not buying travel insurance and for booking a @WestJet flight through a 3rd party. Travel plans changed and after a lengthy discussion with @Westjet we were informed by the agent that our baggage fees would be refunded once the flights are cancelled. Great! Paid another $50 to the third party to formally cancel the flights. Called @westjet to advise flights were cancelled and now told that I was given I correct information. Baggage cannot be refunded. I'm out the original expense plus another $50. @westjet can resell my seats AND has extra space for sale in the cargo hold. There is no method to escalate the call hence this post. Surely @westjet can do the right thing and refund me (about $200) and make me a happy customer for life. Let's hope they come through and help avoid further public notifications and customer dissatisfaction. Standing by @westjet your move.....
