Should politicians only be paid based on how they are polling, wonder what Doug Ford would think of that? @reggcohn :) Should university funding be tied to what graduates earn? Doug Ford thinks so thestar.com/politics/politic… via @torontostar

This is a good edit to this poignant cartoon that shows the phenomenal inefficiency of cars when it comes to moving people in cities. HT @london_chrisp

“Torontonians will die,” says one physician, in a passionate plea to @fordnation: “this is not what the people of Ontario voted for.” If the province moves forward with healthcare cuts, doctors say it could mean more measles cases, more hallway medicine, more people sick. #onpoli

Dear Premier Ford, measles is not a partisan issue. In towns and cities across Ontario, the people have spoken. It’s time for you to reverse these short-sighted and harmful cuts to public health. @fordnation torontosun.com/news/provinci…

You don’t know what you’re talking about. But that’s not your point is it ? Your staff are only writing this because you’re trying to stoke fear and resentment. Everyone knows the game you’re playing. It’s despicable.

Premier Ford continues to mislead Ontarians. In 2022, a family of four will receive a #ClimateActionIncentive rebate of $718. Under our plan, most families will be better off. Unlike his government, we're taking action on climate change and making life affordable for families.

When Ford had to choose between protecting the wealthy from higher taxes or protecting our children from education cuts he didn't even hesitate. #onpoli
The @OntarioPCParty Gov’t is hiding some cuts being made to #OntEd. 1000’s of Teachers and now this: $200 million a year from special education funding. These cuts include ABA trained staff for children with #autism. #ONPoli Call @LisaThompson & your MPP to say #NoCutsToEducation

OPP was always above politics. There is no precedent for this in recent memory.
The high-ranking OPP officer who complained to the Ontario ombudsman about a friend of Ontario Premier Doug Ford being hired to head the provincial police force has been fired. Deputy Commissioner Brad Blair was terminated this morning, CBC has confirmed. cbc.ca/1.4947354

So Ontario "news" posts some crap, and Doug ford retweets and Rod Phillips and Vic Fidelli hit the like button, well Rod Phillips retweets it and Doug Ford and Vic hit the like, and Vic retweets it and the others hit like, my Lord what a waste of space.

I watched Justin Trudeau's town hall in Regina tonight and I was impressed. He was treated rudely, he was insulted, he was even threatened. But he was never cowed, never lost his cool, and was always polite, like a Canadian prime minister should be. #cdnpoli

One of my thoughts after viewing @JustinTrudeau in his Regina Town Hall this evening- No matter what your politics, impressive that a leader would open up a face to face dialogue in this format, and equally impressive that the PM maintains an orderly and respectful dialog.

Our greater Toronto area cities - which make up the most densely populated area in Canada - *require* our greenbelt. The two go hand-in-hand. Cities need fresh water and local food, farmland and wetlands. This isn’t something that’s just nice-to-have. It’s a necessity.
