Congrats to David Felsager 👑 on winning controls challenge v2! While the cash prize has been claimed, the #1 spot is still up for grabs. Scores <100 will continue to be added to the leaderboard. comma.ai/leaderboard

Worked on this for a few days, haven't found anything better than what I tried in the first hour (delta encoding + huffman) with 3.41x compression ratio
Neuralink started a compression challenge. They're asking for people to find methods to losslessly (!!) compress files to 1/200th (!) the size but the files are extremely noisy so thats certainly not possible 🙁 (spectrogram of one randomly chosen file for illustration)

200x lossless is definitely impossible since the last bit of the ADC is mostly noise due to hardware limitations if the original neuralink paper holds true 7uV resolution, 5.9 uV noise ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…

Congrats to @Quantizr and @omarrayyann for winning our controls challenge! Jimmy's PID solution got a score of 34.2, and Omar used RL to get a score of 42.1 to win the most interesting award. We'll make some improvements and do another round! github.com/commaai/controls_…
