Still researching but it seems its true. They are outside the 85k cap. Someone, please tell me I'm wrong. 3 AI engines told me that's part of why we have 755k H-1Bs active - that's not just a renewal bump. 2. The U.S. is spending perhaps 10s of billions USD and has a myriad of federal, regional, state and local initiatives to fund STEM programs and innovation. Endless 'public-private partnerships' - the first 'engine' (as they call it) I researched in NY state is run by an Indian woman. This was by no means all that I saw. I've been researching DoD partnerships in AI, and their formal recommendations, led by Eric Schmidt for example, that demand we massively increase foreign workers as a NATIONAL SECURITY IMPERATIVE. I've not reached the end of this research thread yet. Every click and search yield some new institution, or special rule or exception or program...always drowning in taxpayer cash. The fight ahead of us is so much larger than I realized. 42.7 million foreign workers here - how many more will they bring?
