October on the beach.
Remains of lives scattered along the shore.
And yet, even now, they are part of an ever-changing ecosystem. Still contributing. Still playing their role.
Life continues. It transforms. It evolves.
As long as we are here, we still have something to give. Even when the end draws near.
And when our time has passed, something of us remains — a legacy, a silent testament to what we have given and what we have changed.

I have to admit that the impact of yields and inflation caught me off guard. I was not expecting oil prices to rise this high. The geopolitical crisis in the Gulf and the Red Sea has taken on a dimension that I had underestimated.
I trade with numbers, quantifying patterns and regularities. But I think we are now experiencing a period in which cycles, relationships, and market regimes are changing.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York: "The Disappearing Overnight Drift"
Overnight returns used to be quite regular the last 10 years but the edge has faded. Used to be .02% mean, but this year .003%
Nasdaq night session should be interesting starting soon.

Valuation paradox: S&P 500 is the only major developed-market index trading < 5-yr avg fwd-P/E z-score; US tech screens cheapest of all (even at ~ATHs). The rub's in the denominator: S&P profits are +50% YoY; 2Q earnings surprise is ~30%; consensus has another +18% growth estimated➡️next four qtrs. Switch from P/E to EV/EBITDA & “cheap US/cheap tech” disappears.

The bottleneck for AI now is power, and the grid is not ready.
US data centers already eat 5.9% of the nation's electricity. BloombergNEF sees that hitting 20% by 2035, one of every five electrons, on a grid that went 20 years with flat demand.
That is a structural bid for natural gas, nuclear, and the utilities feeding these campuses, and higher power bills for everyone else competing for the same supply.
The AI trade is a power trade now. The money follows the megawatts, into gas, grids, and nuclear.

Dear readers
Re: U.S. equities
I am fully long S&Ps along with stock indexes through the world - Asian and Europe
Understand my opinions and positions may be different
I've watched the price action closely today -- it is fascinating
I've seen this kind of price action before -- in Gold last year, Bitcoin through the years, stocks back in '25 and many many times through the year
The market is not going up on bids
You would guess so, but that is not the case
Market is going up with no backups. This means offers are immediately taken
Not sure where the top is, but this feels like the beginning or middle of a blow off
Do not get shorts is my opinion
